Why voice search is where the puck is going for digital

Instagram has been dabbling in the waters of hiding likes but with the news last week that the US was being tested the company jumped right in – and certainly made a splash in the process. Instagram’s chief executive noted that the move was less about the established names. “It’s about young people,” he said. “The idea is to try and depressurize Instagram, make it less of a competition, give people more space to focus on connecting with people.”

“We will make decisions that hurt the business if they help people’s well-being and health,” says Instagram’s  CEO Adam Mosseri.

To that end, next week Instagram will expand to some users in the United States its test of hiding Like counts from everyone but a post’s creator. But there are major questions about whether the change will hurt influencers. So what could this mean for future usage of Instagram, and other social media platforms?
